Dr. Benoit has been helping pets and their families in the Edmonton area since 2008, after mentoring under his father for two years in family veterinary practice. Dr. Benoit has a deep passion for helping people keep their pets healthy by providing in-depth and thoughtful consultation. Dr. Benoit is excited to be developing long-standing relationships with his patients and their people; to be a part of their health and well-being. He and Jessica, his wife, now welcome you to their practice, Companion Veterinary Clinic!

Jessica is a Registered Veterinary Technologist, Veterinary Technician Specialist in Behaviour and co-owner of Companion Veterinary Clinic. She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner and Fear Free Certified veterinary professional, trainer, and speaker. Jessica offers a positive, science-based approach to behaviour modification and training, ensuring the emotional wellbeing of your pet comes first.

Dr. Latawiec graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Born in Wetaskiwin, she travelled for her education to Halifax, Vancouver Island, and Florida. She found her passion in the art of veterinary medicine and is excited to develop relationships with her clients back in Edmonton, the city she calls home. Dr. L looks forward to helping your furry family members be healthy and happy for many years to come!

Kyla graduated from the NAIT Veterinary Administrative Assistant program with honours in 2011 and has been working in a veterinary setting ever since. She is currently involved with the NAIT program advisory committee. She shares her home with her husband, two kids, and an orange tabby cat named August.

Lindsey graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College in 2012, and she has worked at Companion Vet since it opened the same year.

She enjoys dentistry and monitoring anaesthesia, and also loves seeing her patients change and grow over the years from their very first visit and into their senior years.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, golfing, painting, and spending time outdoors with her dog Skye. She also has a cat named Dallas who doesn’t like to be left out either!

Carmen graduated from the Animal Health Technology program in NAIT back in 2016. Prior to that, she had also completed the Veterinary Medical Assistant Program. Originally born in Calgary, she moved to Edmonton for school and now calls this city her home. She currently has a Shepherd Mix named Mackenzie and a senior black cat named Katja. Carmen looks forward to being a part of the team.

Janna graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2014. She has an interest in behaviour and training and is excited to learn more from the Companion team. Janna currently has two cats named Frodo and Ginny. In her free time, she enjoys playing ringette, doing jigsaw puzzles, eating Salt n’ Vinegar chips, and taking photos of her cats!

Christy was born and raised in Edmonton. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in June, 2021. Christy is interested in animal behaviour and is passionate about making trips to the clinic a positive and happy experience for every animal that comes through the door.

In her free time, Christy enjoys hanging out with her husband, daughter, and senior Chihuahua. She is extremely excited to be part of the Companion Veterinary Clinic team and is looking forward to seeing where her career will take her.

Miki graduated from NAIT’s Animal Health Technology program in 2022. She also has a Bachelors of Science with a major in psychology, so she is very excited to learn more about animal behaviour from the Companion team! Although she currently has no pets of her own, Miki has a deep love for all animals and can’t wait to work with (and dote on) your pets!

Jenn graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2022. She also has her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology. Jenn lives with a hedgehog named Ringo and a dog named Ambrose. Her love for animals is what lead her to being a veterinary technician and is excited to learn more from the Companion Veterinary team. In her spare time Jenn enjoys reading, sewing and spending time with her pets.

Shanna received her Veterinary Medical Assistant certificate from NAIT in 2019. She has a very handsome cat named Onyx and two Cocker spaniels named Sully and Reba.

Paige graduated from NorQuest’s Veterinary Office Assistant program in 2024 and has been working in a clinic setting ever since! She’s happy to help with client needs to the best of her abilities, and hopes to contribute to many positive pet experiences here. She loves to hang out with her cat, Elsie, and doodle in her free time.

Chyanne graduated from NAIT’s Veterinary Medical Assistant with Honours program in 2021 and is the newest member of our client services team. She’s excited to use her skills in a client-focused role and enjoys helping both pets and their people feel comfortable and cared for. In her spare time, Chyanne loves crocheting, doing puzzles, and spending time with her two cats, Charli and Maverick.
